Join us on this week episode of Ballgowns and Booze as Teddy and Elouise make some delicious cocktails with Verwood’s Sparkling Shiraz Rosé and Shiraz Rosé.

Sparkling Grapefruit

This is a sweet and fresh cocktail that is perfect for the summer.

Cocktail ingredients:

  • Fresh grapefruit
  • 2 slice of candied grapefruit
  • Sparkling Shiraz Rosé
  • 1 tablespoon of grapefruit juice

Candied grapefruit ingredients:

  • Grapefruit
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 80gr of sugar

Candied grapefruit instructions:

  • Boil some water
  • Cut the peel of the grapefruit
  • Put the grapefruit in the water and let it soak
  • Take the grapefruit out and dry it
  • Do this again for four times to soften up the skin
  • Add the grapefruit to a mixture of honey and sugar
  • Boil it until it becomes sticky and it stuck to the grapefruit at low heat for 40 minutes

Cocktail Instructions:

  • Add some fresh grapefruit at the bottom of your glass
  • Add 2 candied grapefruit
  • Add some Sparkling Shiraz Rosé
  • Add the grapefruit juice
  • Stir it a little bit to mix everything
  • Serve!

French Kir Royale


  • 20ml of Chambord
  • Sparkling Shiraz Rosé
  • Lemon zest


  • Pour the Chambord in your glass
  • Add Sparkling Shiraz Rosé to fill the glass
  • Add a bit of lemon zest
  • Serve!

Cointreau Cocktail Rosé

This is a very balanced cocktail that allows you to taste all the different components, especially the red fruits of the Shiraz Rosé.


  • 20 ml of Cointreau
  • 20 ml of grapefruit juice
  • 125ml of Shiraz Rosé


  • Add the Cointreau to your wine glass
  • Add the grapefruit juice
  • Add the Shiraz Rosé
  • Serve!
