Verwood Estate Wines would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to all the vineyards of South Australia who lost their precious vines to the fires. This is also a great tragedy to all of Australia – to loose their wine for the next five years while they are resurrected . And Australia has lost its oldest Pinot Noir Vines. This is heartbreaking both historically and for all wine lovers.

This is our stress at the moment . We are still waiting for the Green Wattle Creek Fire to pop in and say Hi . Whilst we are surrounded by open paddocks and feel like we will be safe . We are concerned for our mother vines . We have spent the last 5 years bringing them back to life . It would be devastating to loose them now as we finally have them producing stunning wine. But what will be will be .

May all of our crop producing land in Australia be protected.
